Gas – Princeton, NJ

I know this is old news but I wasn’t sure how to get the photos off my iphone. I still don’t know but I did email it to myself! The price of gas has dropped even more since I took this last week. I am blown away by this. I know its not great for the economy but maybe it will get people out there traveling again. Maybe there will be a drop in airline prices, huh?

I love it! I got gas for $1.45 this weekend with my grocery discount…just over $20.00 to fill up my car! Very exciting! 🙂

Friends – Oklahoma

I haven’t been around much lately – its been a wild month.  I’m working two jobs on top of running this business and we’ve even managed to travel.  I *think* I’m finally getting caught up.  Last weekend, we flew back to Oklahoma to surprise Anthony’s great friend Cliff.  His wife and I had been scheming this for months now.  Cliff came home from almost a year’s duty in Iraq and Angela wanted to throw a party with all his buddies from high school.  They are a tight nit group still 7 years later.  Anthony had the privilege of keeping Cliff occupied Saturday morning to allow Angela time to get the food prepared.  Somehow Cliff was completely surprised when he walked up and saw everyone in his house.  Here is a one of all the boys minus one who left early to get to work.

From left to right, Jathan, Creede, Jared, Anthony, Cliff, Justin and Quentin.

Being back in Oklahoma made me really homesick. It was such a short trip (we arrived 4pm Friday and our flight left close to 5pm on Sunday) and we aren’t going back for Thanksgiving. Thankfully we’ll be back for a few weeks in December and have time to spend with family.

This is definitely not the greatest picture but I like the little sun flare.  I had just woken up and I knew I had a very short time period to get this.  Literally one minute later I could no longer see the sun.

Photographer Meet-Up

A few weekends ago I met up with Sandra and her family as well as Michele and her husband. They both are photographers in Pennsylvania and wanted some photos for their holiday cards. I really wanted to do photos as well but its hard to drag Anthony when he is working so hard on all his papers (he has been reading about 1,000 pages a week for the past few weeks – I guess that’s what happens when you are working on your PhD right?) We met up in the cutest, funky towns I’ve ever seen, New Hope, PA. It was a rather chilly morning, but I’m glad to finally meet others in the area. Thank you both for sticking it out in that weather.

Since this was the day after Halloween, Sandra came loaded with Tootsie Rolls to bribe Cam and they sure did work. Check out those eyes (and the fact that his mouth is closed – he had one in his mouth!)

Sorry for the Inconvenience

We like our apartment – we really do. But sometimes it just sucks. Like getting locked out due to faulty key errors. Or when they decide to inconvenience us with exterior building repairs. It all started a few weeks ago when we noticed they were “demolishing” all the rock on the exterior of another building. Low in below we get the lovely notice below that they will be moving to our apartment building. Guess what? It started yesterday and began again this morning at 8am on our building. Now that wouldn’t normally bother me, but I have been feeling a little under the weather and had the day off today, so I was excited to get to sleep in a little. HA! Who was I kidding. And it didn’t help when waking up with a pressure headache. Anthony talked with the office today and they told him they were required to do this (whatever it be) from the township. These apartments are 3-4 years old depending on the building – I can’t believe this wasn’t addressed when they were building them. It really sucks for us (and those who have small children that nap during the day). Here is a little of the demo. They will be removing the wood and going all the way down to the insulation. Like I said, we aren’t even sure what they are doing, but it just seems really unnecessary.

Taken from our balcony – day 1.

Thank you for your understanding – Management!

h family | princeton family photographer

The H family came braving the blistering windy weather yesterday afternoon. Of all the times for it to cool off, its the day of our shoot. Go figure! These little girls are so full of life and energy. They gave me a run for my money! Thanks everyone for braving the cold. Have fun on your vacation.
